mChek Banner redefines e-commerce
Bangalore, January 30, 2008

Now shop and pay from banner advertisements on the Internet

mChek, a leading provider of mobile security and payments services, today announced the introduction of the patent-pending mChek Banner, a unique solution that enhances banner advertisements on the Internet into payment-enabled links. The mChek Banner is currently available to all users with pre-paid or post-paid Airtel mobile connections.

Currently, an advertisement banner on the Internet is used to drive traffic to a landing page. For commerce, all efforts are made on the landing page to move the customer through multiple pages to complete the transaction with the purchase of a product/service. While advertisers try to optimize advertising banners to deliver on a cost per sales model while the market has provided banner advertisements with a cost per impression (CPM) and/or cost per click (CPC) business models.

The mChek Banner addresses these issues and more. With the mChek Banner, a click on the banner allows the user to enter his mobile number on the banner advertisement, and click on the Pay Now button. A request is immediately sent to the user’s mobile phone to authorize the payment and the transaction is completed in a matter of a few seconds. All this is enabled through a simple line of HTML that dynamically connects to the mChek Banner server. The mChek Banner server serves up the latest advertisement as determined by the advertiser and requesting website.

“The mChek Banner breaks down the existing barriers of e-commerce and enables advertisers to drive commerce transactions on any blog, news portal or other website”, said Sanjay Swamy, CEO, mChek. “By bridging the divide between content and commerce, the mChek Banner directly turns marketing budgets of advertisers into revenue generating commerce, providing better ROI for Internet advertising”.

The mChek Banner is currently available for customers of Airtel for Postpaid Bill Payment – it can be experienced on www.mchek.com. You could just as well imagine a mChek banner selling a DVD player on Future Bazaar enabled to collect payment. The mChek Banner for Airtel Bill Payment can be put on a blog or web page by pasting the following code into any HTML page on the Internet:

<iframe title="mChek" align="left" style="height:300px; width:500px; zindex: 1; position:absolute; overflow:auto; display:block; background-color:transparent; allowTransparency="true" valign="top" vspace="0" hspace="0" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" name="mchqcontainer" id="mchqcontainer" scroll="no" src="https://www.mchek.com/mChekPaymentGateway/pg/
banner/billbanner.jsp" align="right" frameborder="0" scrolling="no"></iframe>

An example of a transaction flow is depicted in the picture below:
