You Telecom introduces mChek Mobile Payment
~ Anytime, Anywhere Bill payment now an SMS away ~

You Telecom, one of the leading internet and broadband service providers today announced mChek (www.mchek.com) as a payment option to their consumers. The users will now be able to pay their bills by sending a simple SMS through their mobile phones. Citigroup Venture owned YOU Telecom currently operates in 12 major cities including Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai and Gurgaon.

YOU Telecom already has drop box and online payment mechanisms in place. Adding mobile bill payment is a step towards taking convenience closer to our customers. Currently 51% of YOU telecom subscribers pay through alternate payment mechanism.”
He further added, “Currently this facility would be available to the post paid users alone and would be extended to the prepaid users as well soon. Instant payment and acknowledgement ensures customers enjoy uninterrupted online connectivity.”
To avail this facility, the subscriber has to send an SMS “YOU MCHEK ” to 53636. The user will then get an automated call on the phone or on USSD to authorize their payment by entering their mChek PIN. Once the payment is processed and the amount is credited to the user’s YOU Telecom account, an SMS will be sent to the user confirming the transaction. The transaction is completed on mChek’s certified platform that conforms to the best safety standards including the PCI DSS 1.2. First time users will be asked to register with their credit card. Users can also register at www.mchek.com.

Quick Steps for Bill Payment
Step 1 - Customer sends the SMS YOU MCHEK <Account> <Amount> to 53636.
Step 2 - User gets an automated call or USSD from mChek.
Step 3 - Enter 6 digit mChek PIN.
Step 4 - Transaction is completed and an SMS receipt is sent to user. YOU Telecom system updated with payment information.
Registration - First time users will also have to register with their credit card number, CVV and expiry date.
